Background
Born on Nov 9 1982 in Amsterdam The Netherlands.
Always fascinated by body movement since i was little made me try all the crazy stuff i saw in video games / movies such as ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles''
''American Ninja'' and offcourse the Jean Claude Van Damme movies.
But after seeing a Bruce Lee Movie i got so stunned by this man's great skills and charisma i started 2 take real interest in Martial Arts
reading various martial arts Books but mainly Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kune Do. it didnt take long and i started 2 take Wing Tsun Classes on age 15 ( 1997 )
( The style that Bruce lee used as a basic guide line for his Jeet Kune Do )
in the same period of time i started 2 collect the Hong Kong fight movies for several years
inspired by people such as Jet Li and Jackie Chan watching oldschool movies such as ''Fong Sai Yuk'' ''Drunken Master'' made me teach myself the acrobatics i saw in the movies.
rewind. stop. slowmotion. rewind again and slowly copying all the moves i saw.
Inspired by Jackie Chan's flowing escaping techniques wich he is famous for in his movies ( jumping fences and jump from building 2 building like a cat ) i got inspired 2 copy him and try all of that stuff out 2. i started my own thing called:
''StreetTrickz '' ( 2003 )
back then i didnt even knew about the existence of '' FreeRunning''
so i made up my own style combining Jackie Chan's flow and Martial Arts tricks outside instead of in a gym ( thats why the name
'' StreetTrickz''
i also used 2 Aggresive Inline skate on Vert and Miniramp from age 12 till 17 on a pretty high level.not competitive just for fun.
also mixed that into it.
being crazy about flips , Ninja Turtles and American Ninjas and always copying the moves back then already
made it easy for me 2 pick up these more highly advanced moves i saw in these Hong Kong movies.
After seeing Jackie Chan's ''My stunts'' video i knew i wanted 2 become a Stuntman.
inspired by people as ( mainly ) Brad Allen and offcourse the rest of the Jackie Chan Stuntteam
motivated me to train hard 2 persue my dream until this very day.
The past 2 years ( 2006 until 2008 ) i was a part of one of the biggest Martial Arts tricking teams in the world
''Team loopKicks'' ( 2006 )
(Based in San Jose California The majority of people in the team are students of ERNIE REYES senior west coast karate )
a team that i discovered thru this martial arts tricks website ( Bilang.Com ) a few years back when i just started myself.
I joined the team in 2006 while being a student at a local Wu Shu School out there in Milpitas California.
i stopped doing Wu shu 2 train with LoopKicks my last remaining months in the states. i liked California and the Team so much i visited more often
they polished my tricks and kicking techniques up and made my tricks look better then ever.
I am not on the team anymore
i am back in ( Amsterdam ) Europe
2 teach my knowledge and skills 2 other upcoming trickers out here.
