Background Information

Jarrett William Koski- born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, Jarrett, now 21, has been involved in theatre since the age of 8. He is currently a sophomore working on his BA in Theatre Arts Education at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina where he is the performing arts department props master. He is also president of the LMC players, a children's traveling show company, and vice president/treasurer of Nu Delta Alpha. Some of this year§s theater credits include choreographing and playing an Urchin in Roar of the Greasepaint...Smell of the Crowd, Jesus Christ in Stephen Swartz's Godspell. He also portrayed Walter Delaxro in Dead Man Walking. During his freshman year, he was a featured dancer/singer in the musical Swing, the French emcee and bellhop in Lucky Stiff, as well as assistant to the director for Summer and Smoke, assistant stage manager for Arabian Nights and stage manager for the one-act The Zoo Story. He was also a featured dancer and soloist in the 2007 and 2008 Candlelight Christmas Concert. He was also involved in the Lees-McRae Summer Theatre where he served as Props Master for the 2008 season as well as Headband Boy in A Chorus Line and Slim in Oklahoma! For the 2007 season, he played Mickey in Damn Yankees and A-rab in West Side Story. Jarrett§s other involvements include Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater Florida where he was the stage manager and assistant director for The One and Only Owen and Owen's Overnight Adventure and he also performed as the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods, the Wizard in OZ! and Norm in the one-act Present Tense. He will be working at Ruth Eckerd Hall this coming summer as stage manager and assistant director for the Owen camps.Also choreographed two solo dances with the use of props. His paper, "Dancing with the Props," was recently published in the National Dance Magazine.He would like to thank his family and friends for all of their love and support throughout the years.

Interests

The plan is to perform after college then settle down somewhere and teach!
