| Yihaa; can use some real fun bagsry up here; lets team up and give HankIII a run for his dough! (Seriously love southern roots/country/billy/gospel stuff) And well maybe a bit upfront but you call out the rebel yell straight away (f%%% kkk BS/just making sure no smarty political correct inflicted pointy pointy) but i do mean this: i asked about well... evryone stating they from the south about this but still not a inch wiser: would you know of any old 30/40's period gospel: the way i describe that is like the haunting one: not the little kiddies; treully believe that is the work of Satan himself: creeps me out. But i only got one referrence to this like a sample used by the 357 string band after the opening song: you hear like i geuss a pastor or a preach and just 5 to ??8 people there and this thing shows by the whole chant these were real poor people and so you really hear the heartfelt when sung: they do lift emself up with singin', i dunno could send you the tune, may seem a strange request wanting too know some i can place exactly as it would sound like but since im a resident of the Netherlands that sample is the only thing like that i got or know off: hell its even quite a threat if catch the sight of Junior Brown laying (probally under the counter behind the thrashcan) in a recordstore. So dunno maybe you know the 357's or know any stuff like that: the channels of like roots music in Holland usually stay stuck at calling Dolly Parton roots/bluegrass??? So i fear actually finding some treu southern roots chants like described from that era (like thats old music man.. Yeah so???) without any names directions will stay hidden: 357 have no sample is from; probally no one knows even. I got of course the brother wre thou ost, goards, Ry Cooder stuff but wanna go down deep in this one. And just cause you never know: If you/anyone can tell me of an album just as great (really close goods as well) like pineboxboys Arkansas killing time???? Apreciated But errr yeah welcome i geuss : ) ______________________ dSMp09 |
