No, sorry, no luck. It said that the media had been successfully updated, but when I went to Mystage to look at it, no changes. No information appears there, or on the media itself when I go directly to the file. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or what. I am going into the media manager, then hitting the edit button on the audio file, then filling in track info, tags, etc. I hit the update button and it says all is good, but when I go back to look there is no info - no track info, no tags, nada, zip, nill. It doesn't seem to be saving the changes in any of the fields. Thanks for trying. Bear

The track play counter does not work either. Not sure if the problems are related or not.

Actually, looking at your last posts yes they are related. They aren't issues actually, it's a caching issue.

Our servers cache data for short periods of time for Media on the front end, including view counts. So at times for up to 5 minutes you media files might not appear to have changed on certain servers.

Looking in methods to improve accuracy and while not creating speed issues. Hopefully that clears it up some confusion for everyone.

I'll have to add a message on the media edit page that the changes might not show on the front end for up to 5 minutes.

Hey John,

The edits aren't showing up at all. I've edited my audio file "Reflecting Light" at least 9 times over the past 24 hours, and still nothing shows up in the track description. I received an email this morning from Gerard Meester and he has the same issue with a new video file he just posted. He cannot provide a description for the video. Like me, he tried to edit the description field, but for some reason the changes are not being saved. ???

Well found and fixed a bug... which also had affected the view counter, hopefully both that and the media updating work now. Fingers crossed

Thanks John, whatever magic powers you have seemed to work...on my page at least...my profile isn't a mile long anymore...just the new video thing(vv's are stuck---or maybe I am assuming that and perhaps is just extremely low) ---btw, how do you see the vv totals?.....but otherwise even the one email I had on the counter(that didn't really exist) is even showing proper....remarkable---you guys are the best!
