Decided that it might be fun to show off some of the loops I've created this year in a mix. All the bass and vocal stuff on this is stuff that I made primarily as stand alone loops for others to use (loaded on my Looperman profile). If yall like the way they sound on here feel free to use them for your own mixes. Anyways, I had loads of fun concocting this puppy. Hope yall dig it as much as I am at the mo'.

Greets all,Where to start?Been monkeyin around with music for years (my dads a multi-talented musician, who I think, tried sellin me on it when I was little, but I'd rather be outside on my Bike or playin someone's Nnntendo). My folks got me a Casio keyboard when I was 5 and an acoustic guitar when I was 8. Between the two I messed with the Casio more (until it broke umpteen years later). Yeah, I'm rubbish with stringed instruments. And comin from a youth in the 80's (funk, synth pop, electro, euro, techno, old skool rap) I guess I was destined to get into the underground and EDM. My serious history began in 92 when I started writing poetry and in 96 when I began foolin around with flowin verses. Didn't actively start practicing until 06 and waited about a year before I was brave enough to finally record something.Instrument-wise, it all kinda kicked in after I watched the Crow in 97. That's when I started really wanting to do stuff with music. Broke out both the guitar and keyboard (until it broke) and began trying to teach myself how to play. A few years later I got a Yamaha PSR-270 and focused more on that. About a year later I got my first electric bass (figuring that I might be better suited for it). And I also got my first music program- MTV: Music Generator 2 (sighs, memories). Once I got into the electronic medium (software) I mothballed the instruments and shifted all my focus over. Post 9/11 I took a year hiatus from productions because I joined the military (training, training, and more training, haha). Afterwards, I only had six months to play around because I was getting shipped overseas (Afghanistan). Over there I didn't have jack, except for what I could write and text. So I shifted my focus back on lyrics (though back then it was more in an Alt/Progressive-Rock style, which I'm probably rubbish at too, atleast when pairing it with music). And even though I had something to pass the time, I still felt strong desires to produce. So when I got back I immediately got back into it. Mixing a buttload of songs (setting a personal record that wouldn't be beat until 07). Though in hindsight, most of them were C- quality.During this time I realized that I needed to expand my library in order to grow as an electronic artist. So I started looking for other music programs. Picking up Magix's Music Maker Deluxe 05 and Cakewalk's Kinetic & Music Creator 2. Though it wouldn't be for about another year until I started really messing around on any of them. 2004 also marked my first steps into the digital realm through my posting some of my songs on Myspace. Leaving my song's Psychadelphia & Ozone Version 2 up for over 2000 plays a piece. Shortly after I ventured into SoundClick. And in late 2005 I posted my last songs for 1.5 years (deciding to take all of 2006 off from productions to focus on things that were going on in my life and to just keep myself from getting burnt out of music)In 2007, once I was out of active duty I returned to making music and expanding my arsenal of software and hardware. It was during this time that I thought to start searching for "online media libraries". Which led me to Looperman.com... And is ultimately how I ended up here. Genre-wise, I started off making what I considered 'Drum&Bass' (because it was mostly just drum and bass sounds, haha) though I'd probably categorize them as being Glitch now. Due to influences as a child and growing up my interests have led me to make...ElectroTechnoHouseProgressive House(light or ambient) TranceBreaksIndustrialAlternative Hip HopGeneral Hip HopTrip HopAmbientNoiseBreakbeat/Drum&BassFusionAcid (or is it Acid Jazz, can't remember now)ExperimentalNerd Core8-bit&Goa-Psy TranceAt the moment I am interested in messing with the following genres...HardstyleDonkDubCasio-coreThat's because I like to do it all (or atleast, try my hand at different stuff). The sky's the limit, ya know? Anything and everything is open game (makes us better artists that way). Anyways, sorry for the tangent there. I just wanted to fill this out seriously this time. Hopefully all is well with you and yours. Be easy- Pleasant vibes & take care!
To lose 30 lbs before summer, to quit smoking before I start to sound like Slingblade, to reclass to my new MOS without any snags, to graduate on time, to finally start performing this year (fingers crossed), umm, and to still be able to eat all the Ice Cream I want!?
23.8 over the national average yield?Naw, musically, I think it'd be great if I could make a name for myself, but somehow I just don't see that as being in my cards. So instead, I've come up with a few alternative ways to getting my music out there. Which are...One- To land a job working for a music software company. Helping them to create more streamline and user friendly programs. Along with assisting in generating sound pools for the DAWs (samples, loops, soundfonts, etc.).Two- Land a job working for a record label who focuses primarily on pressing sample records for DJs to use in their sets. I dunno if there's anything like this currently, but am thinkin there should be (and if there isn't one needs to step up, ya know). The samples I'd make would also be available in digital format for everyone else to play with too. (Side note- I'm currently on a mission to make 1000 loops on Looperman. At the moment I've got 249)Another thing that I'd like to do is get a job working in various capacities for a music website (maybe even this one, ay?). And one of my current majors (Multimedia Technology AAS) at school will help me with the programming side of things. Though I'm probably also going to look into some Computer Programming/IT stuff too once I'm done (certificates, I'm thinkin). Well, that's a wrap here. Later on!
