You are very intuitive, as that will be the next installment indeed. I kind of needed to lay some ground work first. I figured mics, and placement was a good place to start. I just hope I don't scare off folks when they start doing the economic math that goes with recording. Best of all to you and yours. Kurt
Great stuff Kurt, I can hardly wait for the next installment - making them sound good in the mix!! Thanks for the education, much appreciated.

Hahahaha, raping yellow totally rapes jello biafra, DK!!!! Ah well; getting all dance like??? i dunno it works for me! Think you like man, come and have a laugh!
Thanks for the great input Pots. I agree. And coming from one that practices what he preaches, your words ring very well with me. Your raw, gritty sound recalls the days of Punk, without imatating, or sounding like any one group in particular.
Give you a few: a Danish band doing the perfect take on USA highschool culture as Nekromantix. Some that is unique and just as mind melting good as The Deadbrothers? (people not knowing The Deadbrothers should buy the album Wunderkamer like ... right now! This WILL amaze you)) A writer of a book like: 1984, or; The electric kool aid acid test. A cook like Pierre de Wind? And actor like Johny Depp? A filmmaker as freakin' cool like Robert Rodriguez (if you dunno how the cook is like you dunno how to ffu...) and that dude is doing all himself! (Check out docu's on troublemaker studio's, that is probally one of the best places in the world) Basically im not saying people should change, people do as what they choose to do; simple. Dont even get started on what is right or wrong, good/bad; i dunno, you dunno either. If someone is pleased and amused by his own work that is ALL that matters. BUT: just saw nr???????????????? who's been playing coverbands for the last decade? maybe more; IZZA simple 10/15 years of playing other people's music/trying too emulate one fave hero (anyone say shred?) does makes shure your own induvidual voice is completlly murdered and burried 6000000000 ft under, after a year or 4 1/2 max. Seen some demo reels: actors being really good impersenations of...... YEP Known actors, skaters doing Jackass, comedy doing well.... real drama too be honest at attempting the office or some other crap show which needs a laughing reel/audience to let you know there was a joke in the first place already. Just my thoughts on the being creative issue but i treuly believe there's too many people just copying/imitating what they see around them: ussually only from the most major media channels without basically enough courage to find out a thing or two bout themselves or creative outputs by others not so primetime; im and as far as i regonise complete madness in others, am travelling on a journey which is in all truth a mastrubational, self indulgent and egocentric affair to please no other than thyself! Sounds gay hey? Dont get me wrong i wanna get some out of mine if possible just the same, actually try too archieve some catchy tunes, done my way really but catchy is the secret if you wanna have a change to become an actual pro, but none the less there´s not many on here in whom/which i see/hear an emotional&personal search for creative improvement. Last example: type in sex drug r&r on a search here, loads of folks use these words of holy musical trinity (which is stupid to believe in but....) havent found any as simelar fukkt up as Iggy Pop, dangerous sounding like GnR? As groundbreaking like Ike Turner? Did saw bands wanting to be GnR, people giving you that Sid Vicious snarl look (he imitates Elvis and somehow manages to ......) Ahh FUCK IT! I can go on for days bout this topic but if people cant find some they need on here ..... yeah well.... Cheers all and best too all of us: mostly me of course.Pots
Great topic Kurt and dead on. If someone can't find what/whom they need on this site, they simply are not looking hard enough. Hope all is well. B
