6 Tips for Talent Shows
First, you’re going to have to choose a talent, something in which you excel. Talent for talent shows means you can combine various performances and mold them into one. Juggling, singing, balancing and dancing can be part of one routine. Just remember, it’s all about choice and relevance. Be unique and creative!
Second, find a talent show. Told you this was for beginners.
Third, research your audience and tailor your talent performance to them. Make them feel something when they watch you. If you’re performing in the city, see if you can add a joke or two in there about city life. Doesn’t have to be this, but I think you understand.
Fourth, decide on costume and props. Don’t choose something that will overshadow your talent, make it appropriate. Again, consider your audience when choosing.
Fifth, time for the fun part•train, practice, prepare, rehearse and repeat. If you need help, get some.
Sixth, these talent shows are usually all about winning over the crowd. Aim to do that when planning your performance. When you get to perform, be charming, witty, funny and courteous. Get the audience’s attention, keep it, and make them feel something. Make them love you!
